Temperature: With a mean temperature for the month of 5.6C, this June was the coldest since 2006 and below the average for the past 9 years of 6.4C. The warmest day was the 11th with 15.5C the only day to exceed 15C, June 2003 and 2004 hold my record at 20.6C. Coldest temperature was -3.1C on the 19th. The coldest June temperature I've recorded is -6.2C on 1st June 2002. There was just 1 day where the temperature was at or over 15C, my June average is 6. This is the lowest total in 10 years records There were 14 days where the minimum temperature was at or below 0, my average is 13. June 2001 holds my record for 20 days where the minimum temperature was at or below 0, June 2004 had just 4 days where the minimum temperature was at or below 0.
Wind: (Records from 2001) The monthly wind run of 3020km is 90% of my June average of 3336km and the third least windy June I've recorded. The least windy was June 2006 with a wind run of 2840km, June 2008 the windiest with 3917km. The 4th recorded just 4km of wind run, the lowest wind run recorded to date this year and the second lowest in 10 years records.
Rainfall: June had 26.8mm of rain over 8 days, 43% of the average of 63mm over 10 days and was the 4th driest June I've recorded. The driest was 2004 with 11.6mm over 8 days, the wettest, 2006 with 118.6mm over 12 days.
