My April

Temperature: With a mean temperature for the month of 12.6C, this April was above my average of 11.5C for my station. The warmest day was the 27th with 26.1C, the same as April 2006, April 2004 holds my record at 27.6C. Coldest temperature was 0.7C on the 22nd. The coldest April temperature I've recorded is -0.8C on 25th April 2001. There were 8 days when the temperature was at or above 20C, my April average is 6, the lowest is 1 in 2003. There were 3 days when the temperature was at or above 25C, equalling my current record of 3 in 2006. My average is 1. There were no days where the temperature was at or above 30C as per the previous 9 years records. I have recorded 0C or below 3 times in 10 years of April records.

Wind: (Records from 2001) The monthly wind run of 3916km is near my April average of 3956km. The least windy was April 2007 with a wind run of 3039km. The windiest April was 2005 with 4696km.

Rainfall: April had 48.4mm of rain over 6 days, 80% of the average of 60mm over 10 days.The wettest April I've recorded was 2002 with 121.3mm, the driest was 2001 with 4.5mm over 4 days.
