My March

Temperature: This March was the second warmest I've recorded with an average temperature was 15.5C, my March average is 14.4C. The warmest March was 2007 with an average of 15.9C, the coolest was 2006 with 12.9C. The coldest temperature was 4.1C in the 4th. The coldest March temperature I've recorded was 1.2C on the 30th March 2001. The warmest temperature was 28.4C on the 27th, the hottest March day I've recorded was 31.8 on the 6th March 2007. March had 8 days at or over 25C which is a record for my station though the temperature failed to get over 30C. March 2007 holds my record with 3 days at or over 30C on the 5th, 6th and 17th.

Wind: The monthly wind run was 4631 km, my March average is 4997km (records from 2001). The windiest March was 2006 with 5643km and the least windy 2007 with 4436km. Maximum gust was 61km/h from the south. Prevailing wind direction was north east recorded 66% of the month, south 21%, north 5%, south west 3%, south east 2% and west and nor'west 1%.

Rainfall: This March was the second driest I've recorded with 26.8mm. My average March rainfall is 39mm over 9 days. The driest March I've recorded was 2001 with 5.8mm.
