My February

Temperature: With a mean temperature of 15.7C, February 2007 was very near the February average of 15.8C (8 years of records). The warmest February I've recorded to date was 2005 with a mean temperature of 17.9C, the coolest was 2002 with 13.0C though the temperature sensor I was using at the time read a little low. The warmest day was the 26th with 34.1C with light west to southwest winds. This is also the highest February temperature I've recorded to date. The minimum temperature was 7.9C on the 14th which is the highest minimum temperature for February that I have recorded to date. The coldest February temperature to date was 3.4C on the 1st February 2001.

Wind: The monthly wind run of 4002km is below the average 5313km I have records for (2002 - 2007) and the least windy to date. The windiest February to date was 2003 with a wind run of 6147km. Prevailing wind direction was north east recorded 66% of the month, south 28%, north 2%, south east 2%, others 2%. Maximum gust was 50km/h from the south on the 26th.

Rainfall: The monthly total was 16.2mm. My February average for 8 years is 38.2mm. The highest rainfall for February I've recorded is 2004 with 85.4mm, the driest to date was 2001 with 5.5mm.
