My July

Temperature: A mean temperature of 6.1C, this July was near average for my location with a mean July temperature of 5.9C. The warmest July I've recorded was 2005 with a mean temperature of 7.4C. The 6th recorded the lowest maximum temperature for the year to date, 5.6C. The warmest day was the 31st with 18.0C with warm west to nor'west winds. This is the warmest July day I've recorded since starting my station in 2000. Coldest temperature was -2.9C with a frosty morning on the 23rd. The coldest July temperature I've recorded is -6.9C on the 3rd July 2001. (Note: old temperature sensor in operation, reading low)

Wind: The monthly wind run of 3139km is the lowest of the 5 July's I have records for. The windiest July was 2005 with a wind run of 3892km. Prevailing wind direction was south recorded 48% of the month, north east 25%, north 11%, south west 8%. Maximum gust was 59km/h from the south on the 21st.

Rainfall: 23.6mm recorded on the 19th was the maximum daily recorded rainfall. This is the highest daily July rainfall I've recorded with records from 2000. The monthly total was 57.6mm, the July monthly average since 2000 at my station is 48.8mm. The highest July rainfall was 2003 with 79.8mm and the lowest 2000 with 18.8mm.

Barometer: The highest pressure for the month was recorded on the 26th with 1038.5 hPa, the highest pressure recorded to date this year. The lowest 989.9 hPa on the 12th. No previous barometer history.
