My January

Temperature: The third warmest January since I started recording temperature in 2000. Warmest day was the 2nd with 30.2C followed soon by the minimum for the month, 3.8C on the 5th. The warmest January was 2004 with a mean of 18.4C, the coolest was 2001 with a mean of 13.4C.

Wind: With a maximum wind gust of 68km/h, this equals the January record set in 2001. The monthly wind run of 5671km just below my January mean of 5842km. The windiest January was 2004 with a wind run of 6167km.

Rainfall: 30.6mm of rain fell on 10 days, a little below the mean of 35.4mm for the past 5 Januaries I've recorded.

Barometer: This is the first month of recording atmospheric pressure. The low reading of 972.3 hPa is a bit suspect as the barometer was still being calibrated. I may delete these records after I have confirmed the barometer calibration.

Humidity: Another new parameter. Observations so far have not seen a value above 94%. This may be due to the sensor calibration as well as its location. I doubt if I will be doing anything about the readings at this stage. A minimum of 18% on the 2nd due to a very warm and gusty Nor'west wind.
