October Weather Highlights:
I recorded the windiest day since I have had my station measuring wind speed, December 2000. On the 5th, a southerly wind gusting to 65km/h. The wind run was 575km, breaking my previous record of 542km set on the 6th Feb 2002 also with a southerly.

The maximum rainfall was 15.0mm with a cool southerly bringing hail showers and maximum of 11.3C. Coldest temperature was 1.2C on the 9th followed by the coldest maximum temperature on the 10th, just 9.4C. A period of westerlies in the last week of the month bought the warmest temperature of the month 26.6C with a nor'wester.
