The graphs below have averages based on my data from the past 10 years.


This graph shows 2017 and 2018 had above average rainfall. 2015 and 2016 have had below average rainfall.
2019 ended the year almost exactly the same as 2016 and the totals hardly deviated from July. Totals were 2016 548.5mm, 2019 543.2mm.
August was the driest I've recorded with just 5mm. 2020 is well below average, needing 283mm as at the end of October to equal average rainfall.

This graph shows just how warm February 2016, December 2017 and January 2018 and 2019, were. Now added November 2019 as warm as an average December.
December ended close to average after a warm start to the month.
January 2020 was near average. February 2020 above average and there is a trend of increasing temperatures since 2017. March 2020 was cooler than recent years and equal with 2014 with an average temperature of 14.1C. October 2020 was the warmest in my 20 years of records with an average temperature of 13.0C. Metservice and NIWA indicating that November will be warm. Will be be a new record surpassing 16.2C in 2019? The graph showing just how warm it was.Average temperature HoonHay 2016 2019

Wind Run

This graph show how windy each month and year was. Usually December is the windiest month. January 2017 stands out as the windiest month in the past 5 years. November 2017 was the least windy November I've recorded in 18 years of records. Dec 2017 more windy than the past 2 years. Below average wind run for August, September and October 2019. 
December was the windiest month for 2019 and only beaten by January 2017 which is head and shoulders above anything else in the graph. March 2020 was windier than the previous 4 years. 2014 was the last windy March with a wind run of 5010km. June and July 2020 more windy than recent years.
